You can travel for free for an entire year or more, simply by changing the way you pay for FF&E on your next project.

Did you know that there are hotel FF&E suppliers that accept payment via credit card?   If you are a hotelier with good credit and can secure a credit card with a high limit, this is a great option.  I spoke to one hotel developer with a a portfolio of 20 new-build hotels who does just this.   When he shops around for FF&E pricing, he also asks about payment terms.  Over time, he has secured a list of purchasers whom accept credit card payments.  This, along with his high limit, travel rewards credit card, allows him to earn significant travel mileage on every dollar spent on FF&E.

With FF&E costs running upwards of $1M on most new prototypical 100 key hotels, the credit card points and travel rewards for purchasing on one hotel can be quite substantial.   Assuming a modest 1% credit card reward rate, a hotelier could easily earn upwards of $10,000 in travel rewards with this strategy.
